Professor Istifanus S. Zabadi’s extensive background in international relations, strategic research, and higher education makes him highly qualified for a seat on the Board. His career includes teaching positions at prestigious institutions such as the University of Jos and Bingham University, where he also held key leadership roles including Head of the Department of Political Science and Dean of the School of Postgraduate Studies.
As the Provost at the Centre for Strategic Research and Training at the National Defence College, Nigeria, he directed modules on International Relations and Peace Support Operations, further demonstrating his expertise in maritime security and regional studies. His involvement in various international research networks and participation in high-level security and defence forums, including the OAU Chiefs of Defence Staff Summit, underscore his strategic insight and global engagement.
Professor Zabadi’s numerous scholarly publications on peacekeeping, conflict studies, and regional security reflect his deep understanding of the complexities of maritime and international security, making him an invaluable asset to the Governing Board.
